Michelle and Dave have assisted over 250 student-athletes in getting recruited to college. They support the student-athletes and their families through the entirety of the recruiting process. Each family will have its own customized and curated framework to follow. From the initial recruiting meeting through college commitment, there is support when you need it.
Be Gritty cannot serve women’s lacrosse players in the Greater-Chicago area unless those athletes play for Lakeshore Lacrosse. Michelle remains a partner and recruiting specialist for Lakeshore.
Many club teams do not have a dedicated recruiting specialist, nor do they have the ability to help you curate a college list based on academics, athletics, and family needs. Often, the club coach needs more bandwidth to help each athlete with the details of the recruiting process. Michelle and Dave give the student-athletes the tools required to put themselves in the best position to get recruited. In addition, they will use the club coach’s expertise where it is most needed. Typically, club coaches are vital in the recruiting process, and we will work with them throughout.
You can! However, recruiting services require a considerable upfront cost before your athlete may even know for sure what they want. The recruiting service companies have varying degrees of success and immense employee turnover. There is a good chance you will have multiple new account executives “working for you”.
Be Gritty has different packages, depending on your student’s year in school, so we can help where and when you need it. Our goal is to empower your family to execute the recruiting process while respecting your financial resources. Young people can change their minds and paying for all four years at 14 is not recommended.
Great news! Michelle and Dave are not your student-athlete’s parent! They are former Division 1 athletes with 25+ years of experience in recruiting and college athletics. Often, we can relay messages and ideas differently than a parent.
Be Gritty is here to help you.
